Op wants to use different player.
Problem is that mycareer uses only the player you create in the main menu options myplayer where you create a player to start the game. You have to make a different player there if you want a different looking player in your career. Mycareer is a game mode and also the campaign mode of the nba 2k series. I’ll do this and do this.
Maybe this will work and nothing is working! I look up all kinds of videos on youtube to figure out what to do because it’s extremely difficult. I think maybe i have the setting on hall of fame. No that’s not the issue, the game is broken.

You don't have to delete the save file, just go to option and my player, and change the character appearance. The look will update through your entire game (mycareer, mypark, mygm, etc.) if you messed up your save file as in your progress, press y/triangle to edit the save files. Sports games will never be 100% newcomer friendly because of how much more knowledge based they are than other games, but rookie 2k still manages to let complete newbies start to play and enjoy.
